AntiMicro is a software program that allows users to simulate keyboard and mouse inputs using a gamepad or joystick. It is commonly used to play PC games with poor or no gamepad support, as well as to add extra functionality to games that do have built-in gamepad support. In this article, we will take a closer look at the features, user interface, performance, and support and resources of AntiMicro, and provide a recommendation for potential users.

AntiMicro User Interface

Key Features of AntiMicro

One of the key features of AntiMicro is its ability to customize the layout of the buttons on a gamepad or joystick. Users can create their own button layouts, or import pre-made layouts from the internet. This allows for a high degree of flexibility in how the controller is used, and can be especially useful for games with complex control schemes. AntiMicro also allows users to simulate keyboard and mouse inputs, such as keystrokes and mouse clicks, using the buttons on the controller. This can be useful for games that do not have built-in gamepad support, or for adding extra functionality to games that do have support.

Another feature of AntiMicro is the ability to create profiles for different games or applications. This allows users to quickly switch between different button layouts and inputs without having to manually configure the software each time. AntiMicro also has the ability to save and load profiles, which means that users can share their custom button layouts with others.

User Interface and Performance

In terms of user interface, AntiMicro is relatively straightforward and easy to use. The main screen displays the gamepad or joystick that is currently connected, and allows users to customize the button layout and simulate keyboard and mouse inputs. The software also includes a tutorial that walks users through the process of configuring a controller. The only issue with the user interface is that it is not very visually appealing, and can look a bit dated.

In terms of performance, AntiMicro works well on a variety of devices and platforms. The software is compatible with Windows operating systems, and can be used with a wide range of gamepads and joysticks. However, it may have some compatibility issues with certain controllers, so it is recommended that users check the software’s website for a list of compatible devices before purchasing.

AntiMicro also provides a good level of customer support. There is a FAQ section on the website, which provides answers to common questions about the software. The software also includes a tutorial that walks users through the process of configuring a controller. In addition, the software’s website includes a forum where users can ask questions and share their own custom button layouts with others.

In conclusion, AntiMicro is a powerful software that allows users to customize the layout of buttons on a gamepad or joystick and simulate keyboard and mouse inputs. It is especially useful for games with poor or no gamepad support, as well as for adding extra functionality to games that do have support. The software is relatively easy to use and works well on a variety of devices and platforms. However, the user interface is not very visually appealing, and it may have some compatibility issues with certain controllers. AntiMicro is a good option for those looking to enhance their gaming experience with a controller and have a good level of customer support, a recommended use case is for PC Gamers.

Let’s have a look at Etcher which is a bootable USB Creator centered around Windows, Linux and Macintosh operating systems and is very popular with the Personal Computer Community because of this and its features.

Etcher enables its users to create a bootable copy of Windows on their USB and from that USB boot any PC they want without any overly technical steps or jarring user interface. The aim of the program is to be as straightforward and easy to follow as possible. Saving users the headache of trying to learn a complicated program when they had something simple in mind.

Note however that not all versions of Windows are supported by Etcher, notably, if you want a bootable copy of Windows XP then you would need an alternative as Etcher supports Windows versions starting from Vista. And as stated this program is focused on Windows OS, meaning that this program will only run on devices running Windows and can only create bootable copies of Windows operating systems all the way up to the newest Windows 11.

There are two versions of this program a free version and a paid or pro version that has some additional features.

If you really just want to create a bootable USB Drive then do not worry, the free version is all you need without needing any extra program to accompany Etcher in the process. And the free version also has some features that might prove to be handy in the future such as installing DOS or UEFI Shell to your USB Drive or completely wiping the drive of all of its contents and data.

However, if you want to try a feature of Etcher that very few have which is the creation of bootable Clone of your current Operating System along with all of your programs and data then you would need the pro version of this program.

The aforementioned feature of Etcher is great if you have very important information and data on your computer such as personal and work files, family photos, videos, and passwords among others, making a bootable clone of your current operating system is a wonderful safety net in case there are unforeseen and unfortunate hardware failure, operating system crashes or even viruses that lock you out of your own computer.

This feature is also great if you are traveling and you have a personal desktop computer and you really need all the data and programs you have but don’t have on your laptop or workstation somewhere else. This will give you the option of always having a bootable clone of your computer in your pocket.

Back to the free version. Missing Windows 7? Well, Etcher might be the answer, this program allows its users to install the beloved Windows 7 operating system even on modern computers that came with Windows 10 or even Windows 11 out of the box!

Etcher does this by packaging some essential generic drivers as well as UEFI loaders so that Windows 7 can successfully boot and run on your modern computer without any hassle or headache.

OutByte Driver Updater is a perfect program if you are looking for a clean and simple way to automatically update your drivers. Finding the required driver and software updates may take hours of research, while this useful software does it much faster and saves you from wasting your time. OutByte Driver Updater does find the required updates quickly, but the updates themselves may take up to a few hours depending on how long you haven’t been updating your drivers. For a lightweight and easy-to-use program, OutByte Driver Updater will do a lot of useful and amazing things.

Just like the majority of other driver updater tools, OutByte Driver Updater can scan your computer in search of the drivers and software that require updating, and with a few clicks, it will start updating them. Older drivers may cause your computer to slow down, but often a much bigger problem is made by missing drivers, which OutByte Driver Updater, can detect and install. Certain driver updaters will download third-party drivers that aren’t always reliable and that can, in certain cases, even be malware. OutByte Driver Updater only downloads the drivers that are certified by Windows, and there is even an option to Download the most stable version, whichever it is. With this option, there is a much smaller chance of your Windows breaking or having extra problems.

An exciting feature that is a major relief is the Auto scan and update option. With this, you won’t ever have to worry about manually installing new drivers, as it will do this job for you. There isn’t an option for creating a custom schedule for the Auto scan, but you can select doing daily, weekly, or monthly updates. An amazing option that will save you a lot of time and that will keep your computer and OS constantly up-to-date and fast as possible. The first time doing the Auto Scan and updating you will probably need hours if you haven’t been paying attention to your drivers, but through these daily and weekly scans, your updates, if there are any, won’t take longer than a few minutes.

Unfortunately, some drivers might cause your computer to become unstable or crash, this often happens due to bugs in the drivers themselves. To avoid this major issue, OutByte Driver Updater has covered the backup and restore option, which will help you return your computer to the pre-update state. This will save you a lot of time, and possibly, data.

OutByte Driver Updater is very lightweight and it probably won’t take up too many resources from your computer while working, but the process of scanning and installing drivers happens occasionally so you shouldn’t actually worry about the system requirements. Overall, this program is effective and definitely one of the best choices when it comes to driver updater tools, the main downside of this program is that it’s expensive, and even though the whole process is very effective, many free alternatives do the job just as good as OutByte Driver Updater.

Music and media remain a huge part of the human experience. There are many options for media players online, but they are not all the same. JetAudio is a multimedia player with a lot of integration. It is a free shareware application for Windows, iOS, and Android systems offering advanced playback for a huge range of file types. First released in 1997, the latest version was released in 2022 and is on track to set user satisfaction at a high point. JetAudio comes with 16 equalizers presets that allow the user to customize each track to their liking. It allows users to control playback, fading, speed, and many other aspects of each file. JetAudio also supports recording, multi-channel sound outputs, subtitles, tag editing, and a variety of other useful media features.

Like AIMP, JetAudio has an alarm, timer, and sleep feature that gives the user control over many of the functions within the program. Many users listen to music while sleeping, so the timer and sleep functions are a great upgrade from the original. The program comes with several “skins” and users can also design their own using a partner software on the JetAudio website. This media player also shows lyrics and will also show other visualizations to match the playing media. Users can minimize the player to a toolbar and remain in control of the system. JetAudio does not require a microphone or internet connection. It is a small file and does not require a lot of memory or processing speed to function normally.

JetAudio can rip and create CDs and also record international broadcasting. There is an intuitive album management system and a simple playlist with a drag and drop function to ensure easy use. This media player is easy to use, but sophisticated enough for experts to use as well. This program is also available in several languages including, Czech, German, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Russian, Chinese, and English. As for accessibility, JetAudio does support some gestures, like shaking to play the next or previous track.

The app also allows users to use gestures to control playback, share what they are listening to on social media, lock screens, and much more. Last.fm is compatible with JetAudio as well, it allows users to listen to FM radio stations through streaming. If users have the mobile version there are 14 different widgets to choose from when placing JetAudio on their screens. The app also allows for various themes and gap-less playback as well as fade-in/fade-out transitions between songs. JetAudio lacks in its ability to sync with multiple devices.

JetAudio is also unable to encode songs as MP3s. The program itself is attractive, but it is difficult to resize or customize for each user. Even without its own music store, JetAudio is a very real contender in the media player software industry. JetAudio does have a “plus” version for sale for around $30 with even more features. The software is also well known for having spectacular customer service and support staff online, not over the phone. It seems JetAudio has a strong community among its forums with many members participating in feedback and helping one another with projects.

There’s always an app that excels and represents all the programs in its niche. In the case of note-taking software, Evernote fills that position perfectly. It can be used to organize files, take notes, save audio, text, images, drawing, and even web clippings. These files can be categorized in folders called notebooks, which can be assigned customized tags, and found within seconds through the app’s powerful search tool.

Evernote has been around since 2004 and after its beta launch in 2008, it has its fair share of loyal users. It is a cross-platform app and has made organizing everything, from big projects to personal moments, easy and fast. You can use it to manage ideas, projects, and to-do lists in a single place. It is very easy to use and has zero to a little learning curve. It offers plenty of great features and when used, accordingly, can also be used as a project management tool.

It is accessible on all major platforms, such as Android, Windows, and macOS. Every activity on a single Evernote account syncs to the cloud automatically and can be accessed on other devices. This makes collaborative work with friends or co-workers with the click of a button. It is more of a digital filing cabinet where its ability of word processing, storage, and searching information is as central as making a written note.

Marketed as a productivity app, Evernote has lived up to its expectations. It is available in four subscription tiers now: Free, Personal ($7.99/month), Professional ($9.99/month), and Team ($14.99 per user/month). The high prices may not appeal to many people, but the features provided are worthwhile. However, the Free version is more like a free trial of the app. It is very limited with 60MB monthly upload capacity which is not enough for business users. Many features are also missing for the non-paying users, such as they cannot personalize their homepages or even use reminders for folders or the Calendar tool. It also limits the synchronization of data to up to 2 devices only. Nevertheless, the paid versions do provide unlimited facilities and make up for these restrictions.

Some of its features include Sync and Organize, Web Clipper, Document Scanning, Calendar, Search, Tasks, Templates, and App Integrations. Web Clipper is used to capturing screens on the web and directly save on Evernote. Work chat provides you with the option to chat with your team members while using the app, which makes project collaboration effortless.

The search functionality in Evernote is highly impressive and one of its greatest strengths. It possesses very strong Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and can search through scanned pictures, multiple document formats, images, and PDFs. Unfortunately, most of it is restricted to Premium versions. It also prioritizes the protection of your data and provides complete user support. Two-step verification for added data security is done even in the free version.

Evernote was among the initial note-taking apps in the market and has since done a lot of work to stay relevant. It’s a flexible software with all the required features to take and store notes in a quick and convenient way. It is an ideal working space for writing and organizing files.

Today we are going to talk about a LastPass. LastPass is a freemium feature packed password manager that is used by hundreds of millions of people around the world daily. It is now owned by Hungarian SaaS development company LogMeIn.

With both a browser extension or app for your device, LastPass is another reliable and widely used password management tool. Unlike our other options here, it also supports Maxthon and Opera web browsers, however is only available on Android and macOS supported devices.

Convenience

What is more convenient than only having to remember one password ever again? This is the reality of LastPass. With users’ passwords securely locked away in an encrypted personal vault, auto-fill capabilities take care of entering passwords into the credentials page on any given website or app.

Like Keeper, LastPass also uses biometrics such as fingerprint or facial recognition, theoretically eliminating the need for any password ever again.

A nice feature of LastPass is that you can customize how the software interacts with different websites. Often this will depend on how sensitive the required information is. For example, you may not wish to auto-fill all information for your banking or financial apps and websites, however, it is fine for your online shop member details to be displayed – you can also tailor where you wish to enter your master password for this information to auto-fill.

Security

High-level encryption is key to most password management security features. Last Pass is no different, and because they use local encryption only, they guarantee they have zero access to and never know what the user’s master password is. LastPass also has an optional two-factor verification function.

The LastPass free version is more feature-filled than Keeper and includes a secure personal password vault, fast and secure password generation, autofill, and payment information storage. Ultimately, for single and personal use, it is hard to beat.

The LastPass user experience is also a plus. Updated in 2020, their new interface is easy to use, better designed, and nicer to look at. However, while there are comprehensive online resources for using LastPass, their priority tech support is only available on the paid services.

We feel like LastPass is a great tool that is very easy to use even for a person with insufficient computer skills. Within no time it lets you create extremely strong passwords and enables you to sync them as you wish between multiple devices.
